PSA Number

Post by sysadm »

My last lab results indicated that my PSA number was rising, so my doctor said he was going to change my treatment plan as the current one didn't seem to be working. Also have a PET scan this week, which is always scary. The thing with this disease is that when you feel like things are moving in the right direction, i.e. "in remission", it seems to always make a comeback, and usually in a fierce way!

Latest lab results show that PSA level has more than doubled since last lab work. My oncologist said the next step is chemo, which he wanted to start in as early as a week. I somehow lobbied him into giving the current treatment plan another month, since I hadn't been taking the full dosage through the last few months. He agreed, so next month we test again and see where it stands.

Wow! What a ride!
